xBerry in Rzeczpospolita: Poland’s humanoid opportunity is integration, not manufacturing
The Polish government is in talks with Taiwan about bringing robot manufacturers, including humanoid makers, to Poland. In Rzeczpospolita, Marek Stojecki, CEO of xBerry and member of AI Chamber, explains where Poland’s biggest opportunity lies.
Humanoid robots in Poland: what is happening
According to Rzeczpospolita, Poland’s Ministry of Development and Technology is in talks with Taiwanese companies. After Foxconn’s investment in Miękinia near Wrocław, robot manufacturing could be the next step. The humanoid market is still small but growing fast: Counterpoint Research estimates that around 16,000 humanoid robots were installed worldwide in 2025, over 80% of them in China.
Where Poland has an edge in humanoid robots
Marek Stojecki sees strong potential for Poland in the humanoid market, but argues that competing on price with Asian hardware makers is not a promising strategy.
“We don’t need to build them from the first screw to profit from them.”
Marek Stojecki, CEO, xBerry
He sees a bigger opportunity in using Poland’s location and industrial base to build European centers for robot distribution, integration and servicing. A robot bought in Asia still has to be deployed, integrated with the customer’s processes and kept running. That work is best done close to European customers.
Poland’s robotization is still ahead
Poland is also a potential market. According to the International Federation of Robotics (IFR), Poland has 86 robots per 10,000 workers, ranking 18th in Europe against an EU average of 231. Closing that gap will require deployment and integration expertise, not just access to hardware.
The xBerry perspective
As a Wrocław-based R&D company specializing in Physical AI, robotics, computer vision and embedded systems, we work exactly where hardware, software and AI meet. That is what decides whether a robot performs in a customer’s real-world environment.
We also build these skills in our own projects. In our internal project xBerry LeRobot: Inside the Arm, our team teaches SO-101 robotic arms new tasks through imitation learning, using the LeRobot framework. We document the whole process in an article series. Read the first part – LeRobot + ACT + SO-101: How We Built an Imitation Learning Setup.
